GAZA SUPPORT / PEOPLE, BEFORE ANYTHING
Our approach to dignity.
Children and families should not have to surrender dignity to illustrate need. This page explains the editorial and safeguarding principles we aim to follow — not a full operational policy on its own.
Dignity in every story
People should not have to surrender their dignity to illustrate a need. We avoid invented personal testimonies and photographs presented as proof of activities that have not been verified.
Archive photographs are dated and credited. People pictured are not identified as beneficiaries and their inclusion does not imply endorsement.
Children, consent and imagery
Before publishing personal stories, consent, age-appropriate assent where relevant, the child’s best interests, image permissions and risks from identification or location disclosure should be assessed carefully.
A reuse licence alone does not establish consent for every fundraising use.
Operational safeguarding
Field work should follow an adopted safeguarding policy, a designated lead, verified partner procedures and secure reporting channels. This landing page summarises editorial principles only.
Not an emergency service
No safeguarding report form is active on this site. This website is not an emergency or aid-request service. Use appropriate local emergency services for immediate danger, where available.
